She'll Miss Her Daddy
Ryan's off to London for a few days for some meetings, so it's just the girls (and the puppies) until Saturday night. Eleanor is going to miss the "sock monster" in the mornings and bath time with Daddy in the evenings, but Saturday will be the most disappointing; usually, she gets to dote on her Daddy all day long.

La La La La, Elmo's Song
I think I mentioned, in passing, Eleanor's love for Elmo. Every morning she gets to watch Elmo, Big Bird and Snuffy perform Elmo's Song on YouTube. Sometime's once, sometimes up to 4 times, depending on how nice Mommy is feeling. If you sing part of the song, she goes directly to the computer and starts singing, "la la la la." What is it about that furry red monster?
Here, she started to try to climb up her toy box to get closer to Elmo as he performed, but then just got too "into it" to continue:

At the Dog Park
The Avents had a good Saturday, which started with an early breakfast at the Silver Diner. Eleanor had blueberry pancakes, though again, did not eat much at the restaurant - there were too many new people to look at. And then, we headed to the dog park to get our little furry kids some exercise:
Yes, his ears may smell like rotten eggs, and his beard like rotten fish, but he is a good dog. While Augie is off finding some new toy of Eleanor's to put a few teeth marks in, Finn is right at my feet, while I'm rocking our little girl or blogging about her. He is always within arms' reach, always anxious to "go get Eleanor" when we hear her first cries on the monitor after a nap, and always up for a cuddle. While he doesn't roll around on the ground and wrestle with Eleanor, he loves her. And someday, she'll realize she loves him too, just as I do.

At The Playground
Eleanor and I had a fabulous day yesterday. I got my work turned in (Oh yeah, did I mention I'm working again? Contract work. From home. For AIC), so we went down to Woodbridge to meet up with Yia-Yia and Brennan at Panera. Eleanor LOVED eating out. Well, she didn't do a whole lot of eating. It mostly looked like this the entire time:
The $5 Kid's Macaroni and Cheese basically went untouched.
But she was all smiles. I know, you can't tell from the picture.
Then, we headed to the playground:

Then, we headed to the playground:
Of course she had to swing. And it is still definitely her favorite thing to do at the playground, though I think picking up handfuls of tiny pebbles is a very close second.
And at the playground, I learned just how difficult it is to get pictures of two under two looking at the camera at the same time.
These are as close as I got.
